Gabriel Salazar believes that his career as a physician assistant is his perfect fit because it allows him to continually connect with patients during some of their greatest times of need.
“I have been awarded the opportunity to contribute to the care of countless individuals encompassing many diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds. This plurality of circumstance has been a catalyst for me to pursue a more holistic approach to comprehending the human experience in moments of tragedy. My work as a neurosurgical PA allows for this.”
Before deciding to become a physician assistant, Mr. Salazar spent roughly eight years working as a first responder with the fire department, including time spent as an EMT on an emergency response ambulance and within his local area hospital’s trauma/emergency department. Mr. Salazar believes that his experience in emergency and trauma has helped prepare him for the opportunity to assist his community during some of the most difficult times in their lives.
Gabriel Salazar was born and raised in South Orange County. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his wife and two young children. As a family, they are avid fans of the Los Angeles Dodgers and enjoy viewing various sporting events and exploring the local landscapes.
